The role of water

Ways water can support therapy

Aqua Dynamics describes the following therapeutic benefits of aquatic exercise.

Buoyancy and movement

Water has a natural buoyancy for flotation and reduces gravity on aching muscles and joints. There is less pain when you exercise in water.

Natural resistance

Water's natural resistance can be used during rehabilitation exercises to strengthen muscles.

Support from the water

With its hydrostatic pressure, you are supported and don't have to fear falling.

Underwater treadmill

The Hydroworx unit includes an underwater treadmill for gait and endurance training.

Warm-water comfort

The warm water provides relief for arthritis, chronic pain, and orthopedic injuries. Water also provides a soothing and relaxing environment for aching muscles and joints.

Breath and movement

Respiratory muscles

The respiratory muscles are forced to work harder during aquatic therapy, which helps you breathe better.

Explore a care plan that fits your goals

Aqua Dynamics offers both land-based and specialized aquatic physical therapy in Fort Collins and Loveland.

Aquatic Therapy

Warm-water therapy with room to move

The buoyancy, warmth, and resistance of water support a different way to exercise. Aqua Dynamics offers an above-ground aquatic unit with an underwater treadmill.

Hydroworx’s patented, integrated underwater treadmill is used in physical therapy, sports medicine, and conditioning.

The treadmill accelerates from 0.1 up to 6 miles per hour and allows users to simulate land-based walking, running, or sports-specific activities without the bodyweight and joint impact experienced on land.

Water temperature and depth can be customized for a personalized experience.
