Aquatic and Traditional Therapy Services

Aqua Dynamics Physical Therapy is excited to present our new Hydroworx machine that encompasses all of the benefits of water therapy.  Hydroworx’s patented, integrated underwater treadmill is revolutionizing physical therapy, sports medicine and conditioning. Our aquatic treadmill smoothly accelerate from .1 up to 6 miles per hour and allow the user to correctly simulate land-based walking, running or sports-specific activities but without the bodyweight and joint impact an individual experiences on land. There are many benefits of using an underwater treadmill, some of which include:

    • Buoyancy   Water has a natural buoyancy for flotation and reduces gravity on aching muscles and joints.  There is less pain when you exercise in water.

    • Hydrostatic pressure  With its hydrostatic pressure, you are supported and don't have to fear falling.

    • Improved breathing  The respiratory muscles are forced to work harder during aquatic therapy, which helps you breathe better.

    • Pain relief  Pain relief is certainly the most obvious benefit of aquatic therapy!  The warm water provides relief for arthritis, chronic pain, and orthopedic injuries.

    • Relaxation  Water provides a soothing and relaxing environment for aching muscles and joints.

    • Resistance  Its natural resistance can be used to increase the rehabilitation process and strengthens muscles.

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is a treatment for pain, muscular tightness, spasm and movement issues associated with myofascial trigger points which commonly follows injuries and often accompanies the degenerative processes. With this technique, a provider inserts thin needles into or near your trigger points. The needles stimulate your muscles, which causes them to contract or twitch. This helps relieve pain and improve your range of motion.
